Montclair is keeping the news industry busy. Down at Church Street, we watched as CBS News' Christine Sloan arrived on the scene, followed by Channel 9, our buddy Phil Read from the Star Ledger, and last but not least, someone from the Montclair Times.
Ironically, at the time of the blasts downtown, an AP story had PSE & G saying all was just ducky in NJ.

can anyone confirm if there's power in the north fullerton/watchung ave area??
No point in going home to no power!
Then again, I guess ppl w/ no power in that area have no internet connection, so...
I live on the corner of Broad St. and Watchung and came home on Watchung Ave, through Montclair, there seemed to be power. Store such as Home, Aspen, Dino's Pizzeria all had power.
The power was off this afternoon on my block - Gates between Fullerton and Harrison, but it's now back on. Not sure how far the outage extended.
THANKS ANNA
outage lasted from 3-5pm on melrose place. a/c is back on and life is good.
No electricity at Starbucks or Whole Foods. More of the area is blocked off to traffic.
