For those of you looking to do something entertaining later this week, you'll be happy to know that our local Newark Bears are providing what might be the coolest community service effort of the summer season - or not - when they hold Britney Spears Baby Safety Night at Riverfront Stadium as the team hosts the Road Warriors this Friday night, August 4.
At the game, information about baby car seat safety will be provided, and a car seat will be given away to one lucky winner courtesy of AAA. Additionally, fans dressing as babies, bringing a baby toy, or bringing a baby (four or under, thankyouverymuch) will receive free admission. We're told that there will be nifty baby-themed promotions, and I'm guessing that the running of the bases in diapers or something a bit more baby-related might be the case. Oh, and there'll be lottery tickets for the first 2,000 fans 18 and older. Double oh, there'll be fireworks after the game. You know you want to go, right? More deets here.
