Yes...wow...you captured an amazing image Mahmoud
wayne robbins
What a haunting yet beautiful image. It is as if the heavens are opening, letting the light reach those who died.
Looks like an elevator to heaven.
I suppose one reason that I have not been personally caught up in the 9/11 memorial-mania is because the gaping hole in the NYC skyline is a daily stark reminder of our loss, as those twin beams of light so vividly remind us.
Is it possible for the photogrpaher to post a digital copy of this picture for us to download?
I would also appreciate a copy. It's an excellent image. I'd add a mirror on my server if that helps.

Right cick on the picture. Select Save Image As. Save to whatever folder you want. It will be saved as a JPEG file
Yes, but with crappy resolution. To print a quality image you need a bigger file.
I too have avoided the folderol over 9/11. It seemed too painfully evident in the blueness of the sky and the terrible beauty of the weather and also of this particular image. We have that light seared into our brains without need of reminders.
I, too, would love a high resolution copy of this photo if possible. Just got a new photo printer and this is the perfect time to use it.
A gorgeous image. More dignified than any other memorial I've seen.
What a moving, beautiful picture. How can we get portraits ??
In my back yard a blue beam
streaks to the sky
and ends at a glowing star
The light starts below the tree line
somewhere distant and fades away
swallowed by the summer night sky ...
something
stirs us to look up again
between the neighbors trees
and we see again that light
twelve miles away
lighting someone else's way
from here to eternity ...
Thanks for your kudos. It would be my pleasure to provide a hi-res copy of the image for your personal use. If you would like to post it on a web-site, pls let me know where; attribution would be appreciated. I will post a link here this evening to the image on my web-site.
Mahmoud,
What an extraordinary photograph. You have captured so much more than the mere image.
Yes, beautiful photo.
I saw that same striking view at what must have been close to the same time from 35 miles away, on Rt. 17 up in Mahway or Ramsey, wherever it is that you get that remarkable skyline view from a hill crest. The sky above & ahead of me was clear at that point, but those clouds had moved in over NYC, grabbing and diffusing the beams from the Towers Of Light.
Earlier, when I was 40 miles away and just coming off the Thruway, the clouds weren't there yet and you could see the light beams shooting all the way up into the sky. Awesome.

Thank you, Mr. Sami! You might consider changing the name of the file to something like 9-11-2006 photo by Mahmoud Sami.jpeg, because that will increase the chance that you receive continuing credit.
What a picture - just beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time...
Thanks - that is awesome - it is now my PC desktop. To me it feels like a beautiful statement that we are enduring, better and stronger that the gutless creeps masquerading as humans (and their pathetic ideology) who hijacked the planes.
My sister sent this to me a while ago:
Go to www.bermani.com. Select 'powerpoint' on the left-hand column.
Scroll down among the selections to 'Twin Beams of Light.'
It's a powerpoint display of various views 6mos after 9/11.
I found it quite beautiful and moving.
Thank you, Mr. Sami for your stunning photo. I have made it my desktop background, and everyone who sees it wants a copy.
Mahmoud, everyone I have sent this to over email appreciates this breathtaking photo...Thanks!
Thank you, Mr. Sami, for making this beautiful picture available to us. I added it to my photo library and use it on my desktop. Thank you so much.
Wow! Stunning. Breath taking. Painful
