Those pointy-headed ghosties kinda make it look like a Ku Klux Klan birthday cake. I can hear the kids now, “But I didn’t get a Klansman on mmmyyyyyy ppppiiieeecccceeeee!!!!”
Still, it’s a cute cake and looks yummy!

See, I knew I couldn’t be the only one who thought it looked more like a Senator Byrd birthday cake than a Halloween cake.

I am not criticizing…it is an observation. The child did a wonderful job with the cake. I merely stated what it looked like.

Great Cake. Are those Hershey Kisses used for the tops?

Err, Cara Mia is not a child (well, she is to me!) but she is a 26 year old who had a lot of fun making this cake from the Oct. issue of “Martha Stewart” not “The KKK monthly!” The tops of the ghosts are mini marshmellows twirled at the top. The eyes are chocolate sprinkles. Thanks everyone for the cute comments! Happy Halloween!

We went treating on Park St. tonight. #221 Park street had their porch lights on, when our kids knocked on the door they so rudely turned off their lights. You suck!! SO RUDE!!
Just wanted to let their so gracious neighbors know.

Went through my girls bags of candy tonight – checking for any unwrapped/strange looking candy and I found they each had picked up a Bobbi Brown lip gloss. Couldn’t get them to share those with me! Did we unwittingly stumble on the Plofker household or is someone else in town really well stocked on pricey makeup? It beats another Snickers

Hmm…As much as I hate the KKK, given the choice between Martha Stewart’s magazine and the Klan’s, it would be a tough choice. Is there really that big a difference between them?

When I was a kid we lived down the street from a dentist and he would always throw miniature toothbrushes and a tube of toothpaste into our bags! We kids hated it but our parents loved it.

Hey Alex, you didn’t really call someone out for not answering their door last night, did you? They suck? How rude? Perhaps you might consider that a) They ran out of candy or b)They didn’t give out candy in the first place because participating in Halloween is not mandatory. And when your kids throw out half (or better) of their loot, be sure to re-post about how disappointed you were that there was one less piece in your garbage.

I love the cake. Remember Casper’s three uncles? They all had pointy heads!
There was some police activity on Watchung Ave. near North Mountain last night — some older trick-or-treaters were picked up.

I thought it was a KKK cake and I don’t know any of you except Cara Mia. But was it at least good?

Perhaps yesterday's heavy police presence would have been better applied to Mission Street than to the Montclair State campus.
