It's Dr. Wayne Gangi's way of saying Happy Halloween - an annual tradition at his Clifton dental office and home. Don't forget to stop by this ghoulish display of corpses, severed limbs, ghosts, rats, snakes and and putrid monsters. And the freaky factor gets cranked up a notch at night. A passing neighbor advised us to come back after dark for the scary music.

UPDATE: Last year vandals stole more than $7,000 worth of decorations. We're happy that the good doc wasn't frightened by a couple of creepy crims. Enjoy!

HALLOWEEN CANCELED DUE TO ROBBERY. Same people right?

Is he guarding them this year?

As for a repeat of last year -- a couple of the decorations are in cages --others look well tethered. Good luck Dr Wayne!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the decorations stay put this year. Where's Michael Myers when you need him :oP

This display is worth visiting both during the day and night -- my little ones had a ball yesterday afternoon1

Check out the house on Nassau Road in Verona. They always have inflatable displays for every holiday and season.

Good place for target practice!

The story goes, that many of his neighbors helped him this year in covering the cost for the display, ah... like a Good Neighbor..

A great house to see..But, go at night for sure.

Not to be a buzzkill, but does NO ONE else have a problem with this display? It's not just ghosts and goblins - it is mutilated and headless torsoes - MANY of them SMALL CHILDREN - and graphic scenes of torture. Really...no one else?

Posted by AnotherThought... | October 26, 2006 4:25 PM

Nope. Halloween is supposed to be scary.

Posted by Miss Martta | October 26, 2006 4:27 PM

Scary sure, but I think this crosses the line being on a very public corner right near the school. I am all for NC-17 rated gore, but not on someone's front lawn.

Posted by AnotherThought... | October 26, 2006 4:33 PM

It's his lawn!

Posted by Anonymous | October 26, 2006 4:37 PM

No one is forcing anybody to go see this!

Posted by Anonymous | October 26, 2006 4:46 PM

I got that - I'm not saying he doesn't have the RIGHT to do it, I am just surprised no one else thinks maybe it goes a little far. Me? I'll go see SAW III this weekend and keep my Halloween decorations fun and spooky for the kids who see them.

Are you nuts? This stuff rocks! (and hardly NC-17).
Kudos to the owner for doing this after the dirtbags stole his stuff last year!

Fine - I give up. Headless baby cadavers ROCK!!! We need more simulated violence and gore on our streets!!!

Posted by AnotherThought... | October 26, 2006 5:50 PM

This display could be better... there is no theme or balance... it's just tons of halloween monsters strewn across the lawn... I've seen better, for less $$. Perhaps another robbery will cancel Halloween for all of Clifton. I thought the scariest thing last year was the sign they made.

My first reaction: Who's the trash that lives in this house? I think it's been solved. Boo

We went Sunday night and there were people walking around in real scary costumes. My daughter was so scared she refused to look at them, great job!

Posted by PAZ in GR | October 31, 2006 8:47 PM

We went here last night, even at 10:30pm people were crowded around the house. It was very cool.
