With only weeks left before The Sopranos' final season, Baristanet has a major shake-up to announce. Sue Sadik, a.k.a. "Soprano Sue" has joined the Baristanet "family."
Soprano Sue's Bada-Bing blog, a staple of NJ.com's blog offerings, leaves NJ.com today. Baristanet made Soprano Sue an offer she couldn't refuse. Soprano Sue will be blogging every last detail about the Sopranos starting now, until the season ends, here on Baristanet. We welcome Soprano Sue's readers to Baristanet. Now pass the @!%&^#@* ziti.

Today is my first day in Baristaville. To those who don't know me, since 2001, I have been following (OK, stalking) The Sopranos for my web site Soprano Sue Sightings. It has been said that, “Sue knows when someone on the show will get killed before they know†(once that was true). If having my 15 seconds of blogging fame wasn't enough, I've appeared on the show (season 6, episode 9, "The Ride"), and have a mention on the Directors commentary on the DVD set. As a web designer, I've designed and maintain web sites for six of the cast members of the show (so I pretty much know what is going on with them most of the time). I’m excited to share my enthusiam and intel with you!
HBO releases some tidbits about the new season, set to start April 8 (Easter Sunday – does this mean the dead of The Sopranos will rise?) According to Newsday, new guests will include Nancy Sinatra, Geraldo Rivera (my guess he will be airing on a television set during the show), and Daniel Baldwin. Returning guests include Tim Daly (J.T. Dolan) and Julianna Margulies (Julianna Skiff). The Penn Live website has episode descriptions. On YouTube, there is a season 6, part 2 promo, spotlighting some of the more memorable deaths on the show. Interestingly, they are showing “Valery†the infamous Russian as dead, dead, dead. Could this be the answer to the question we’ve all been asking?
Maybe this story is out of the Richmond Virginia area, but let it be a warning to all Comcast customers. In May, the HBO network (which includes The Sopranos), will not be available to their analog subscribers. The article states they are also adding some additional fees for HBO. Lot of changes with the channel line up offered, so it gets a little confusing. I receive my HBO via satellite, but this doesn’t mean I am going to be immune to this in the future.
Movie buffs, the 5th Annual Garden State Film Festival is starting on March 22. On March 24, at screening event #P4, we have a 23-minute film, featuring James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano). The movie title is “Club Sodaâ€, and the story line reads, “The Kid Leaves Boston for New York with dreams of becoming an actor. There, he is befriended by a group of barflies who offer their own brand of advice to help the "young Brando from Boston" He steals money from the bar, creating conflict with his new friends and forcing him to make some tough choices and changes.†According to IMDB, the movie was released in September 2006, and also features Michael Rispoli who played the character of Jackie Aprile, Sr. from The Sopranos.
Got a little extra money to spend? On March 18, Joe Pantoliano (Ralph Cifaretto) will be hosting a dinner at his house (which is in Connecticut) to help raise money for “A Better Chance" (ABC) of Wilton, a program which gives opportunities to youth to study at some of the nations best educational facilities. For more information, call 762-7449 or 834-1882 or check out this article from the Wilton Villager.
According to film jerk.com the Terence Winter film (director from The Sopranos) movie “Brooklyn Rules†which features Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Alex Baldwin will open in New York City and Los Angeles on May 18, 2007.
Lou Martini, Jr., plays the character of Anthony Infante on the show. If you aren’t quite sure who he is, Lou will be playing “Detective Yaros†in the March 20 th episode of “Law & Order – Criminal Intent†and will be featured on “The Black Donnelly’s†in the episode set to air on April 20 th. Lou will be in The Soprano’s episodes set to air on April 15 & 22.
Have a great day, drive carefully!

Great to have you here. I hear that one of our favorite local Taverns will be in the first episode. Look for Tierney's as a Hunting Lodge...
