Deer in the head lights aka Speaker Mom trying to hold together her fractured house. Wonder if she will get a vote off today, so she can jet back to her district tonight.

She has a little indigestion following her fundraiser/dinner in NYC last night while her house was in chaos.

Not to mention:

Four members of the anti-war group CODEPINK were arrested outside the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) Thursday afternoon, following an announcement that they would seek to take over the office.
The group’s members had planned to hold a symbolic “Pin the war on the Donkey” demonstration at Pelosi’s office to show their frustration with the Democratic leadership’s inaction on ending the war in Iraq.

However, Capitol Police prevented the taping of a drawn donkey to the wall.

I never get excited about seeing the "stars". There were all these people standing behind barriers in the rain with black umbrellas around 9:00pm. What's the point? If you really want to see these actors, write a letter to James Lipton at the actors studio.

I think the soprano's story line is great. At times it's as good as Shakespeare.

Mikey, have you ever even read Shakespeare? That was an amazing gulp of nonsense from you even by standards you've already set here. I honestly have a hard time imagining you reading anything other than old issues of something like "The Silver Surfer."

As for the forums, I take them as a sort of popularity contest. If you were popular, others would post by way of "conversing" with you there. Yet it's way mostly lasermikeylasermikeylasermikeylasermikey...all by his lonesome so far. Why is that? Do all bow before your wit, flee from your honed logic? Or is it just that arguing with you simply isn't much fun anymore?

I also trust you'll now join with all right-thinking folks to vehemently protest the grabbing of British soldiers by Iranian thugs today. In lieu of your usual shilling for the jihadists, to be sure.

Great Job Annette! Kudos to you.

I, myself, think that all of those folks waiting to see a glimpse of a TV star are crazy. I live about 3 blocks from Holsten's and I in fact took a walk down there but I stayed for about 5 minutes. 3 of those minutes were to get some Rita's Ice. I mean hey guys, you're not going to meet Tony or Carmella until 12:00AM. You are all way too starstruck.
