"Mob" Scene on Broad Street

Thursday, March 22, 2007

Broad Street is Gawker Central today in Baristaville -- as dozens of spectators and journalists crane their necks for a view of the cast and crew of the Sopranos sneaking into a black-curtained Holsten's to shoot the last scene of their final season.

People on the street report seeing James Gandolfini, Edie Falco and Robert Iler, in their brief street appearance before disappearing into the controversial Holsten's set.

another%20broad%20st%20shot%20%282%29.jpgBloomfield police are out in force trying to manage the crowd and the traffic at the busy intersection of Broad and Watchung, but there's plenty on-street parking if you know the back streets between Broad Street and Ridgewood Ave. Amazingly, traffic is still moving through the intersection.

Thanks to the folks across the street at Rita's Ices (which is open for business by the way) for letting us file from their office.

"Leave the gun."
"Take the hot fudge sundae with sprinkles."

And the Oprah show at Bloomfield High today also! Bloomfield is the shit!

yes, bloomfield is shit

all the goombas are taking work off. Its like Mardi Gras for Italians

Photo caption:

"See that little Nunzio Jr.? Murderers, extortionists, thieves, racists. Never forget this moment to be proud of your heritage, my young son."

With all the cops doing that important protection work now would be a good time for another high school shooting.

"or letting us file from their office."

Could have been done from the restroom.

What's Oprah doing at Bloomfield High?

Oprah's not, just her crew filming a kid who wrote a book.

"With all the cops doing that important protection work now would be a good time for another high school shooting."

To the ignorant it would seem so, but the shooting was almost a mile from the school. Bloomfield has School Resource Officers in the High School and Jr High and has for several years. Once the shooting happened I saw lots of cops there quick, so many so quick that some here were complaining of the hazardous nature of their response. Most of the cops at the Soprano's scene are off-duty and paid by the production company, paid a lot I might add. Your attempts at snarkiness are noted though, hang around here a bit longer and I'm sure you'll get better at it.

There is actually a kid at BHS that can write? That is an Oprah episode in itself.

I'm sure someone here knows better than I do - but re the above post, "There is actually a kid at BHS tht can write..."

Shouldn't that be "who" can write?

Yes, "who" for people, "that" for the non-living or animals.

"Filming a kid who wrote a book."

Great just what we need another kid who wrote a book on Oprah.

It's no big deal. They just wrote the Holsten's menu.

And the shooting was done by a HS student no matter where it took place.

"And the shooting was done by a HS student no matter where it took place."

Yes it was, and he shot two adult non-high school students almost a mile from the High School. So again, calling it a "high school shooting" seems less than logical. Maybe this would work better:

"With a few of the 125 or so cops in Bloomfield doing that important protection work, now would be a good time for another high school student (being that the first one is behind bars) to do a shooting."

Yes I know it runs on some, but it is a bit more accurate without losing it's pointless statement.

This is the coolest thing to happen in Bloomfield ever since the rail car(s) filled with T.V. sets overturned by the rail bridge near Belleville ave.. sic 1969/70

"Nice(not really)Try," don't ever attempt to write comedy.

A man walks into a doctor's office wearing a duck...

"A guy" is funnier than "a man." And it's a psychiatrist's office. Whoa, "wearing a duck?" No, he's got "a duck on his head." Go on...

You wanna talk comedy / mob scene ?

Pelosi is desperately trying to stop CODE PINK, from taking over her Speaker of the House office. Imagine that.

Meanwhile:

CHAOS ON THE HILL.

Dem leadership pulls DC voting bill from floor;

conservative Dems were supporting DC gun repeal...

Leader Hoyer seen yelling at staff on floor...

Speaker Pelosi absent because she is desperately searching for Iraq supplemental votes...

Holmes-Norton standing silently in disbelief.

Can you say, They still have no plan.......................

Who did I just see out at Clark's Pond in a small boat fishing and saying Hail Marys for luck?

"Whoa, "wearing a duck?" No, he's got "a duck on his head." Go on...

"Get this man off my ass! Quack."

""Nice(not really)Try," don't ever attempt to write comedy."

And the same right back at ya. Stick to lawn care or the like.

" don't ever attempt to write comedy."

And the same right back at ya. Stick to lawn care or the like.

See, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

"U R not funny"

Rest assured, you are.
