Remember watching all those signs changing on the old McDonald's arches, you know back before they stopped at "over 99 billion sold" in 1983? Well, our odometer turned over a significant number tonight at 10:24 pm when the three-millionth visitor stopped by our site.
Our first million mark came in March, 2006 and our second million was registered at the end of October.
Mr. or Ms. 3 Million visited us from Hinsdale, Ill. and came in under the search "Seymour Schlager attempted murder of wife," which actually brought up a lot of unrelated entries on our site.
Oh well. We guess there have always people who showed up at McDonald's for strange reasons too. And, not that we're expecting to be part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average anytime soon, but when get to 99 billion, we'll probably stop telling you about it too.

Congratulations - I check this site and especially when out of town to find out ' what is going on'
thanks for being here - and I think you got rid of a lot of the mean spirited or spiteful readers - thanks for that too.

Congratulations.
But I can't help wondering how many of those visits are repeats, people posting the same comment multiple times.
Ah, the Hinsdale connection. I've actually spent some time there. Small world.
I'm pretty sure they're counting unique visitors, you'd be surprised by how many people visit this website. Even if you go to the forums you can see at any given time there are at least 70 people viewing.
