But now that Lent is over, we're ready for our foul-mouthed, short-tempered, ethically-challenged fictional neighbors, the Sopranos, to return to our living rooms every Sunday night. As you can see, the Baristas had a sit down with Tony Soprano last week, and we divided up Baristaville between us. We get Montclair, Bloomfield and Glen Ridge; Tony gets Belleville, Nutley and Caldwell. We maintain our lock on all things coffee and gossip. Tony gets waste disposal and construction.
As we start the season, the tentative peace between the New York and New Jersey mob families is about to end. We know -- because this is the last season -- that some beloved and unbeloved members of the Sopranos extended family will go sleep with the fishes. And we also know that this is our last chance to see many of our favorite locations, like Holsten's, on the small screen.
For a full recap of last season, go over to Soprano Sue's blog today. If you're looking for the coolest Sopranos party in north Jersey, go to Satin Dolls, aka Bada Bing, tonight for free food and to see the show on big screens. Want to discuss it with fellow fans before, during or after the show. Go to our Sopranos forum.

Recalling someone saying here that the Sopranos are so over--they obviously don't spend much time with family---after an Easter dinner with the family--I say brillant as always!
First episode of the Finale was a total bore.
Most of life is a "bore"--Most days in the "Mob" are boring-(just like any career)but the mental dilemas, the "dysfunction" of our lives are what creates the drama---in all our lives-
Tony's shame about his childhood, about his parents, his anger over his "lot" in life is the drama. And how he justifies it-Is what makes this drama somewhat of our own--boring at times as some may see it.
I liked looking over that lake after a hectic but fun Easter Day. Aaaahhh.
Looks like it is going be a good season of the Sopranos!

Someone read the New York Times article this past Sunday ...
Jim I didn't but now feel less anxious about my posting-
...and nor will I, but I'll let my father know finally his investment in my BA in English Lit has finally come to use.
Kinda boring, yes, but I think it's just a set up for the rest of the season.
I hope they tie up a lot of the loose ends from previous seasons.
People in Nutley like coffee and gossip too
Tierney's recognition anyone?
Tierney's recognition anyone?
Yes, I heard the scene with the French Canadiens was shot in Tierney's.
Janice is certainly a creepy mommy.
Where was that lakehouse? Nice spot.
'Twas me asking re the lakehouse - did not mean to slip into anonymity!
