Tonight, at 10 p.m., on HGTV's Bought & Sold, it's Montclair realtor Linda Russell (wife of Gray Russell) who shows her house dressing prowess. I know Russell's magic firsthand; her staging got me $$ over asking when I sold my house.
Pricing High and Staging Agents Joanna Parker-Lentz and Jodi Rubenstein take on new client, Jill, who hopes to sell her house at a high price so that she can afford to buy her dream house. The agents agree to list Jill's home at a higher price than they are comfortable with in order to help her out. Meanwhile, agent Linda Russell has a second business as a stager. Roy Scott enlists Russell to stage one of his houses to make it more appealing to potential buyers.

Wouldn't "staging" mean trucking furniture and other home-staging "props" to and from the homes for sale?
Greenhouse gas emitting trucks at that?
Can we assume the approptiate offsets were purchased?
NO ROC,
I high end homes it means just moving their furniture around and staging with the props that are already there. It also means decluttering.
Have you purchased offsets for the hot air that you are generating?
Most homes in Montclair need "staging." There are many dumps here that just will not sell without some outside counsel. Some are beyond "Staging" and require "Reconstruction" which is reserved fro those with things like green carpeting and paneling.

I wonder how Ms. Russell would cure the >$900K wrapped in Vinyl? How would we "Stage" that gem?
A large house with vinyl is probably a teardown.
"A large house with vinyl is probably a teardown."
Yeah, maybe in Short Hills or Millburn, but Montclair has plenty of plastic wrapped homes!
