That really should be the slogan. After major accidents for NJ Gov. Jon Corzine and Sopranos wiseguy Christopher Moltisanti, if you still insist on riding around sans belts, be warned. Police are out and ticketing.

I'd rather see tickets for those using hand-held phones!
Those people (about half of all drivers I see locally) are putting the rest of us in danger, whereas those who don't wear seat belts are only going to cause harm to themselves.
No! Park and Watchung/North Mountain and Watchung are the worst intersetction in Montclair. Wouldn't Christopher's nose have softened the "blow" a bit.
"...whereas those who don't wear seat belts are only going to cause harm to themselves."
Not always true Not ME. An unbuckled driver or passenger can easily become a projectile, with the possiblity of injuring another person.
Good point, Miss Martta, although I'm betting there are fewer projectile bodies causing injury to others than there are cell phone-using drivers...
It's just very frustrating to drive around town and see driver after driver chatting away with their head tilted to one side! It's really very easy to plug in or Bluetooth before you move the car. At least then you're a little less distracted if you get a call.
Yeah, it seems to me that the cell phone law has done little to keep people from DWP (Driving While Phoning). I see it all the time and it's very scary.

Was it a bird? Was it a plane? No, it was... Hyoomin Projectile Man!
I have been ticketed for not coming to a complete stop at the intersection of Park and Watchung. Also got a summons for failure to use my blinker at the same time. At the time though, I had Maryland plates on my car since I had recently moved back to the area from out of state. Now I make sure to stop completely and use my blinker at that intersection everytime.
NJNative...sounds like you learned your lesson. Next time you drive through, just toot your horn and I'll bring out my bottle to share.
I called the town and they are looking into it! Hey, it is a great way to increase the revenue for the town.
Come to a COMPLETE STOP!!!
Please....how about ticketing the locals who run the stop sign at Park and Watchung!
And what about those cars that don't stop for pedestrians at the same cross walk?
Let's turn our focus on some real local issues!
