Well, we guess the red dye has worn off. The bank robber known as the "Mad Hatter," who robbed the Commerce Bank in Lackawanna Plaza on June 1, has struck again -- this time in Union. The baseball-hat clad bank robber apparently pulled off his 17th heist yesterday when he handed a note to a Bank of America branch inside a supermarket in Union.
He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
UPDATE: According to NJ.com, a Mad Hatter suspect is under arrest and being held in Newark.
"We have a guy ... who fits the general description of the Mad-Hatter," said FBI Special Agent Sean Quinn this morning. "All the people who have been working since noon yesterday and who haven't left the scene (of the bank robbery) are doing their best to confirm his identity."

I can't believe they haven't caught this guy yet. Is he even armed? He looks like someone's grandpa.
