You may have seen the teasers for "Power of 10" -- CBS' newest game show, emcee'd by Drew Carey, that uses national polls as its raison d'etre. The very first player on the show, which aired last night, was Jamie Sadler a 19-year-old pre-med student from Montclair. After reaching the $100k level, he was given the perennial Baristaville question:
"What percentage of women (of thousands polled) currently consider themselves feminists?"
His 29% guess was within the required 10% range of the actual answer : 23%, which won him the million bucks.
* Great images from the show, from our friends at Redbankgreen.
More from The NY Daily News:
For the past two weeks, Sadler had to keep his lips zipped over the big win. "It was more weird than difficult," he said of keeping quiet about his good fortune. "I go on a show, there's a studio audience, somebody is going to tell people you won $1 million, Drew Carey is hugging you. It's a huge thing" - and also a bit unreal.
Guess Jamie will be taking the rest of the summer off from caddying in Glen Ridge... Congrats, Jamie!

Congratulations, Jamie!
(Now, let's tax the hell out of him!) (
fantastic! what a great story!
Terrific!
Isn't there any way the town can tax this? A million bucks will buy a lot of safe trips to school!
He's cute, too!
It's not so much, it's just enough funds to "encourage" 1197 elementary schoolers to walk to school.
After taxes, now he can get a decent 3 bedroom with 1 bathroom on a busy street.
I agree, Liz -- that Drew Carey is a real looker.
Its too bad all of his friends will be hitting him up for cash. He'll probably have to move
after taxes, he'll be able to break even on school bills and insurance.
