This Saturday, the Borough and Rotary Club of Glen Ridge is accepting frozen turkeys, canned goods, and cash for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Drop-off is 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Glen Ridge Railroad Station on Ridgewood Avenue. The Food Bank will use cash donations to buy turkeys at wholesale prices. If you can't stop by, send a check marked "turkey drive" to the Community Food Bank, 31 Evans Terminal Road , Hillside , N.J. 07205 .
Starting Sunday, for three days, Montclair's Human Needs Food Pantry is collecting donations of frozen turkeys, feast-friendly foodstuffs, and cash donations (fully tax-deductible). To find out where you can bring your donations, continue reading...

There is a big old wild turkey Tom who has been directing traffic on Prudential Drive in Roseland off and on for the last couple of weeks. Right at 5:00 PM he stands out in the intersection where the Organon and Prudential driveways enter the road, and he runs at and pecks at cars as they leave their parking lots. I am guessing that he may be ready for stuffing quite soon now...
