I've suffered from kitchen-envy for years. And I guess I like to torture myself, and dream about gourmet meals I could cook in other people's kitchens - because I never miss a kitchen tour. Lately, it seems double dishwashers, built-in espresso machines and big entertaining spaces are still ruling kitchen design. But don't take my word for it - go see for yourself this Sunday, at Montclair Historical Society's tour, "Montclair Kitchens, Past to Present."
The self-guided tour of eight kitchens starts at noon, concluding with a gourmet food and wine tasting at one of my favorite historic mansions with a view, Evergreens. Sneak kitchen peek after the jump...

Buy your ticket online now ($45), and save five bucks. Tickets available on Sunday for $50, at the Clark House, where you'll start your tour with treats and hot chocolate provided by Toast and The Chocolate Path.

This envy can be cured with a flu shot (see baristanet.com for info).
