This report, from Lt. James Carlucci, is a bit of a nightmare: A Montclair woman came home one night to find someone sleeping in her bed...
On November 11, at approximately 12:45 am, Montclair police responded to the first floor of a multi-family house on Claremont Avenue on a report of a burglary. The resident says she returned home to find an unknown black man sleeping in her rear bedroom.
After finding the intruder, she went to check on the other occupants of the house; by the time the resident went back to the bedroom, the suspect had fled the residence.
"It appears that the suspect entered the home through an unlocked bedroom window and fled through the rear door. There were no signs of forced entry, and nothing was reported missing at the time of the report," says Carlucci.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10", 190 lbs., 27-30 years old, with a flat face. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Terence Turner at 973-509-4724.

I'm sorry, but . . . are we sure it wasn't one of the three bears?
Weird.

Weird.
The "flat face" bit is somewhat disconcerting. One probably gets what the term is trying to actually convey, but still..... It makes the alleged intruder sound like a villain out of the old "Dick Tracy" comic strip.
eeww, eeww, eeww. I would have the throw out my bed.
Maybe flat face is contagious.
Famous personages with FFD, 'Flat Face Disorder'.
Mike Tyson
Buster Poindexter
Homer Simpson
I think tough-guy actor Richard Bakalyan (or his Brit counterpart Dudley Sutton, who played countless yobbos) best captures the essence of FFD, MellonBrush. Even as I salute your coinage.
It must have been the Comcast repairman.
