Hey- This looks amazing, not that I really understand what is going on there. But cafe-theater/film/multi-media??? Anyway- I also noticed that they are hiring-and looking for volunteers- (I looked on the calendar and the main word right now is "Renovation"- doubt its a production name...Lets hope for the best here, and do what we can to help out-

Agreed--sounds like it could be a terrific thing for that stretch of Bloomfield Avenue. I hope it comes together; we could really use another quality performance space in the area, especially for live music!
I hope it's successful, but their video is pretty lame. I guess "multimedia" means viral ads with production values circa 1991.
Fondly remembering the days of the Center and Royal ("the finest theater in the East") theaters.
Here's hoping they actually book Ritchie Havens...
Actually, this IS the group that brough both Richie Havens and Leon Redbone to this theater when 12MilesWest occupied the space. I went to both concerts and they were good.
I will be there! I remember the Richie Havens concert...
Wow! The internet is amazing. The MMAC has been outted prematurely. :)
Was wondering why the website was getting so many hits before a formal launch. The work in progress was only intended to be viewed by funding sources, vendors, contractors, and the like while I renovate the space.
But it's good to see that my vision for a first class venue on Bloomfield Ave is shared by others. I very much appreciate the positive feedback and support.
And I also relish the opportunity to address the comments of cynics like guido santa... The YouTube video above is a mock up for sign vendor use only, not an 'ad' intended for the public. But yes, look for some viral video promos, shakey cam & last century production values & all LOL!
Also note that I have a 30 year career producing concert events and managing venues in the region. It is my goal to continue to present artists of the international calibre of Mr Havens and others as available (in addition to showcasing the best of regional and youth talent.)
I only ask that you be patience as I continue to raise money and renovate the currently leaky and unheated bldg, looking forward to a hopefully spring opening.
Only with your support can The MMAC be successful.
Thanks

Charles, please give me a call @ 973-680-9462 - I am president of the Watsessing Heights Neighborhood Association (www.whna.org) and our association worked closely with 12MilesWest when they occupied that space.
Thank you,
Anne Prince
