We don't know if anyone's dishing out Green Eggs & Ham, but an event in West Orange this Sunday promoting Horton the elephant will warm up the crowd before one of New Jersey's largest St. Patrick's day parades. From The Star Ledger:
First, thousands of people are expected to converge on the township municipal building for a promotion for the upcoming movie "Horton Hears a Who." Afterward, the township will hold its an nual St. Patrick's Day parade, one of the largest in the state.The Dr. Seuss event will kick off at 11:30 a.m. outside the municipal building, where the crowd, when given the sign, is supposed to shout out the words, "We are Here!" be fore film cameras.
The 57th annual St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 12:15 p.m. Presiding over the festivities is grand marshal and 40-year West Orange resident, Noel O'Keeffe, of Noel O'Keeffe Contracting. O'Keefe was born with the luck of the Irish, in Ballyduff Upper, a village in County Waterford, Ireland.

Some 500 parade marchers and thousands of parade spectators are expected to gather along a 1.24-mile route that begins at the township municipal building at Main Street and Mt. Pleasant Ave nue, and ends outside Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Eagle Rock and Harrison avenues.There will be two grand stand locations -- one outside the West Orange Community House, 242 Main St., opposite Babcock Place, and the other at the James A. Deg nan House senior citizen building, 430 Main Street, near Park Drive North.
