Montclair Police report an armed robbery and rounding up suspects for prior offenses:
Early Monday morning, a couple was held up at gunpoint at the Exxon Station on Bloomfield Avenue. The robber got away with cash and cell phones belonging to both of the victims.
Watchung Vandals: Police charged two teens, ages 16 15 and 13, with criminal mischief in connection with recent vandalism of Watchung Train Station. The 15-year-old, a freshman at Montclair High, was arrested and handcuffed at the school last Wednesday. The other boy, from Glen Ridge, turned himself in later that night.
Accused of Bank Robbery: A suspect in the March 13 heist of Montclair's Commerce Bank has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of stolen property. Yousif Iguenarane, 22, of Roxbury, is being held in Morristown. He was stopped by police while driving his 1990 Buick in Roxbury. Iguenarane's bail was set at $25,000, according to Lt. James Carlucci, at Montclair PD. A judge also set a bail of $500,000 upon learning the suspect, a Saudi Arabian national, has a first-degree armed robbery charge pending in New York, and is wanted by federal immigration authorities.
