I confess, I'm a sucker for a live auction. Love the suspense. Love the paddles. Love the whole thing. On Friday, March 28th, Northeast is having its Going Global gala at the Upper Montclair Women's Club. The goal? To raise $40,000 for a redesiged media center with all new bells and whistles that will become the school's Global Studies Center.
In addition to the four Ds (drinks, dinner, DJ and dancing all for $50), there's both a live auction, with Bill Evans, WABC meteorologist, as auctioneer, and some very cool silent auction items. So help me folks -- I'm overwhelmed by all the choices...
The silent auction prizes are great, too (and way less stressful). They include: tickets to Jersey Boys on Broadway, tickets to the opening day game of the Giants where they will receive their Super Bowl rings, a private tour of MOMA and (my favorite) tickets to see Saturday Night Live with Christopher Walken hosting. I loved him in this. For more information, or to RSVP for the event, drop a line here.

Wow. Depending on the seats, I'd be hard pressed to decide if I wanted to spend more on the Giants' tix or the SNL with Mr. Walken.
