Stop by Church St. Cafe tonight for the Project Graduation Jazz Soiree, then hurry home to bed. You'll want to rest up for the slew of Easter egg hunts happening tomorrow: The Watchung Plaza Business Association will begin their hunt promptly at 11am, and participants (age 6 and under) are asked to bring their own basket. There will also be egg hunts at Brookdale Park (billed the largest on the East Coast) and at Crane Park (where some eggs will be filled with gift certificates, and the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo ops).
If that's not enough Easter chocolate for you, check out the "Chocolate and Jewelry" at The Chocolate Path. And on Easter Sunday, you'll find a guitarist playing during brunch at Toast, where the prix-fixe menu includes your own Easter basket of baked goodies.
Also this weekend...
-- What Exit? Theatre's production of The Housekeeper begins its run.
-- the Women's Club of Glen Ridge's Favorite Doll Tea is once again a major hit. Tickets are sold out, perhaps because of the impressive stash of goodies (from the likes of Aunt Jean's, Copabananas, Over the Moon, Minnow, Robyn Ross and Beverly de Filippis, plus a beautiful spring doll wardrobe handmade by Susan Griffith, Jean Vogel and Judy Weckenmann, and a vintage dollhouse lovingly restored by Kathy Kulick and Deborah Lebow) being raffled off.
-- Get your cleats on: Registration is ongoing for the Montclair United Soccer Club. Spring session begins Mar. 29. They're especially seeking 9th and 10th graders to fill out teams.
-- Montclair native Brendan O'Hara is playing tonight at The Bitter End.
