Bitpusher had a blast at the recent robotics competition in New York City.
While Mayor Bloomberg looked on, the Montclair High School "Partially Robotic Bulldog of Death, Destruction and Gracious Professionalism," better known as Team 555, allied with teams from Watchung Hills Regional and Vernon Township High Schools won the New York City Regional FIRST Robotics Competition.
In this year's competition, called "Overdrive," the robots had to race around a track, gaining extra points by lifting a ball over a hurdle each lap. As in other years, the Teams are grouped into three team Alliances. It's on to Altanta for the FIRST Championship April 17 - April 19. The event will be streamed over the net and broadcast on NASA Digtal TV. Go to usfirst.org/ for more info.
