A group of 22 Bloomfield High School students are giving up their spring break next week to help rebuild hurricane-damaged New Orleans. We ran into them a few weeks ago at the Brookdale Shoprite, where they were raising money for their six-day trip. The 17 girls and five boys will leave Saturday, along with social studies teacher Celia Laricchia, and return Friday. It's not too late to donate to the cause. Send a check made out to Bloomfield High School Amnesty International, to Bloomfield High School, 160 Broad St., Bloomfield NJ 07003.
We've invited them to write in next week and send pictures.

Sounds like a fun trip. What are they going to do, exactly? Help rebuild? I just hope they don't break anything.
