Attorney Joseph Cicala, representing Bloomfield BOE Director of Special Services, Gina Verni, who's work experience on her C.V. has been questioned, is disputing the story recently published by Bloomfield Life. Today, the newspaper published a clarification .
Clarification: Regarding the article entitled 'Unforgettable experience? Administrator's resume called into question,' which appeared on page 1 of the March 27 edition, Joseph Cicala, Esq., attorney for Gina Verni, disputes certain statements appearing in that article regarding the position held by Ms. Verni with the Mine Hill School District for the 2004-2006 school years.According to Mr. Cicala, Ms. Verni was employed by the Mine Hill School District as a Vice Principal and Director of Special Services for the school years 2004-2006. On April 1, Mr. Cicala forwarded documents to Bloomfield Life, including Ms. Verni's employment contract with the Mine Hill School District and a performance evaluation of Ms. Verni for the 2005-2006 school year, which indicate that Ms. Verni held the position of Vice Principal/Director of Special Services.
Mr. Cicala did not provide any documents indicating Ms. Verni's position for the 2004-2005 school year. The statements appearing in the March 27 article that Ms. Verni did not hold the position of Director of Special Services were based on information provided to Bloomfield Life by the Mine Hill School District, including Ms. Verni's employment contract with the district for the 2005-2006 school year, which indicates that Ms. Verni held the position of Assistant Principal and Child Study Team Coordinator, the statement of Paul Breda, the Mine Hill Board of Education President, that Ms. Verni did not hold the position of Director of Special Services, and information provided by the Mine Hill Superintendent Rick Bitondo indicating that Ms. Verni held the position of Assistant Principal and Child Study Team Coordinator.
At this time, Bloomfield Life stands behind the March 27 article, but in light of the additional information provided by Mr. Cicala, is investigating this matter further.

So she said on her resume that she was a vice principal...and she was. Maybe we all shouldn't jump to conclusions there are conspiracists among us so quickly.
