Recall Corzine: The Bumper Sticker

Thursday, April 10, 2008

Carl Bergmanson's recall-the-governor campaign, which got lots of media attention after our initial story, continues with a new addition. The "Recall Corzine" bumper stickers have arrived and are available with a $5 contribution through the website. Here, the ex-mayor, who will be honored with a tribute at the Glen Ridge Women's Club tonight, with a freshly-applied sticker.

Does he have a "Recall Randolph Now" sticker on the other side of the bumper?

get that mets jacket off that idiot!

AWESOME

So when does the Corzine bill that lets people take a paid leave on taxpayers' dime go into effect? It will be great to see the excuses people use to not work. Like most liberal/socialize/wealth redistribution ideas, they sounds nice and compassionate, but in reality are abused by many, impractical, and impossible to pay for. Socialized medicine, welfare, and every other nonsense big government handout only encourage people to not work and not take care of themselves.

Give me back my hard earned money, Corzine!

You stole the words from my mouth, Spicoli, but I wouldn't have said it as well.

I wasn't there, but I heard Carl got a nice letter from Gov. Corzine at the soiree honoring him tonight.

Corzine may be doing a lousy job, but I think we should recall Carl Bergmanson, retroactively!!

Why all the hatin' on Carl? For once we have a public servant who's proactive and who--along with the rest of us--is angry that our hard-earned money is being spent on featherbedding and nonsensical things. More power to him and I wish there were more out like him.

You know what would be better than recalling the gov, writing or calling your state senator and assembly persons. State government is not going to be fix from the top. The Gov doesn't have that much power. You have to focus on the legislature and deal with political power in the county. Reforming New Jersey government mean reforming 21 counties. New Jersey politics are based in the counties.

But your best bang for the buck political is your BOE, so show up to the meetings if you are really concerned. They command the largest budget in town.

Only Met fans have that kind of free time.

Mikeypal, why do I find at least a whiff of nascent totalitarianism in your every post? (Albeit dumb totalitarianism.)

Even when you suggest monitoring Board of Ed meetings, it always sounds as if you're suggesting someone send a few Gestapo or MVD agents in mufti to do the, uh, "watchdogging."

I also wish Carl Bergmanson well on his quest, perhaps it only seems quixotic at this early juncture.

Civics = Totalitarianism.

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig stretch.
