Incredibly, no one was seriously injured after a three-car crash last night - in which a Jeep flipped over into the path of another car – at the busy Montclair intersection of Watchung and North Mountain Avenue around 8pm.
The driver of the small sedan that the Jeep smashed into was taken to Mountainside Hospital with high blood pressure.
An eye-witness told Baristanet last night an incident she saw on nearby Upper Mountain Avenue just minutes earlier may have lead to the pile-up.
I was in my garden digging holes for plants when a Jeep heading north, side-swiped a parked car, ripping off the side mirror. The driver of the car, who was on the phone, gave chase, I assume to get the license plate of the Jeep, because he flicked his high beams on. I saw the Jeep turn down Bellevue. The next thing I hear is this tremendous crashing sound. I walked down to the corner of North Mountain and Watchung and saw the Jeep lying on its side.
The third vehicle involved was an SUV (not pictured) which apparently was clipped by the Jeep as it travelled south down North Mountain. Skid marks at the scene indicate that after hitting the SUV, the Jeep rolled over ripping off the right side front bumper of the sedan. Baristanet learned the occupant of the car works as a nanny of a local family.
"This could have been a lot, lot worse," said Dr Ed Latimer, who went to the scene after he heard sirens. At this time we are waiting to hear from MPD if any charges have been filed.

You know I don't know why you have to call out the Jeep by name and just refer to the other autos via their generics - "sedan" and "SUV."
Jeeps have feelings too, well mine does. And she's alive and well in the driveway, so that's not my flip.
I have a feeling, that he/she piloting said SUV now turned on its side, whose name begins with a J and ends with a P is gonna be in trooouuubbbllleeeee...
All that aside, that's a long walk from Bellevue to Watchung to see this
