Mark my words this ramp will improve nothing Southbound Parkway traffic will still have to cross through all lanes to get to 280 East Causing the whole thing to be Mess as always HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA no engineering Degree Here daaaaaaaaaa
I agree Dog Mom. I do everything in my power not to let those lousy cut-ins in. I have pleasant visions of me running them off the side of the ramp as they tumble over onto 280 East.
Makes me smile just thinking about it. I followed one home one day - just for fun. He didn't like it.
What kind of people think that this is "their right" to cut to the front of the line? Do I do that at CVS or Kings? Pray for a good dose of karma to come their way.
I don't know which is more lame... the blogger for posting about something that's been that way since the Fall as if it's brandy-new news -- OR -- the person who wants to run people off the road.
Guess what, Ackme, if you're coming off the GSP northbound, you are put into the right side of that traffic. Likewise, if someone wants to go West but they don't know which side its on, what do you want them to do, go to Newark and find a place to turn around?
You keep following people home... that's gonna work out well for you, I'm sure. Talk about karma...

My way to Newark without either the Parkway or 280 (and virtually traffic-free before the last mile or two): Take Watchung Avenue east to its end. Turn right on Passaic Avenue and left onto Center Street in Nutley. At the end of Center Street, left and an immediate right (I think this is still called Center Street). This ends on River Road. A quick left on River Road gets you to the Nutley entrance to Route 21 South, a clear shot into downtown Newark.
I sit in that *@#!ing traffic every day. I think that the most infuriating part is the people who floor it to get around the merge, then cut everyone off right at the ramp. Not only that, the traffic has no time limits. It's all the time.
