This weekend's ticket for Jersey-style red-carpet glamour and glitz will be the inaugural induction ceremonies of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
Baristaville's own Yogi Berra and Buzz Aldrin represent Montclair among the 15 honorees inducted this Sunday in the categories of history, sports, enterprise, arts & entertainment, and the label-defying "general."
Also being honored: Clara Barton, Bill Bradley, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Malcolm Forbes, Robert Wood Johnson II, Vince Lombardi, Toni Morrison, Norman Schwarzkopf, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Meryl Streep and Harriet Tubman. Everyone, with their entourages, are expected to attend.
After months in conception and planning, the gala inaugural ceremonies begin with pomp and circumstance at NJ PAC's Prudential Hall, 5:30 pm. La Bamba (Richie “La Bamba” Rosenberg) and the Hub Caps is the stage band for the ceremony. Get your glam on and order tickets, 888-GO-NJPAC or pick them up at the box office, One Center Street, Newark.
