New Jersey doesn't trust Jon Corzine with handling its finances, according to a poll from The Record...
More than 60 percent of New Jersey's likely voters disapprove of the way Governor Corzine — who made his fortune as a Wall Street executive — is handling the state's troubled finances, The Record Poll has found.And 61 percent believe those finances "pose a direct threat" to the quality of life here.
Maybe those polled should pick up one of these.
Because he'd tax you per finger, per touch.
But the plan he'd create to tax you would involve the creation of (yet) another state entity to keep track of his fingers touching your garbage....
So he'd travel the state with a powerpoint presentation featuring "Baristanet's own: Miss Martta" showing how this tax on your garbage would- 20 years from now- SAVE us money.
I don't know what Prof's plan is but I can tell you mine (in a nutshell):
Waste management--cut out layer upon layer of "wasteful" bureaucratic padding in state government. We lead the country in property taxes and other ancillary fees. This is nothing of which to be proud.
Stop the Insanity--Stop funneling money to the Abbott school districts. It's not working. Let's take a fresh approach.
Wake Up, NJ!--Wake up and smell the diesel fuel. Realize that the money Corzine proposes to raise through toll increases will merely line the pockets of union bosses. We will see very little, if any, of it, 2 years or 20 years from now.
I'm sure the Gov is just about had it. Especially when there is no year end bonus of millions to stick in his bank acc't like he nailed on Wall St....$$(;o{)8---
