We locked our bikes in front of the firehouse and walked in to find one other person there besides the sweet old ladies running the show. They said that only about a hundred people had shown up there so far (this was at about 6:30 pm). I boggled, embarrassed, at the voting machine for a while until I thought "hey why don't I try just pushing the picture of the box here that doesn't look like a button at all but...aha! a green light lit up!"
It was easy peasy.
Those other 17,000 or so people should be ashamed.
