
No special reason to run this photo except for that old "if eyes are made for seeing, then beauty is its own excuse for being" rationale...which I've always found perfectly fine as a rationale. This white dogwood glowed against the shimmering red maple at -- where else -- Van Vleck--where I perused the fabulous plants available for purchase (see next photo.)

And here's a familiar site to gardeners everywhere--it's ready, set, go in a week for those of us who regard Mother's Day as the official zone 6 launching pad to the planting season.
