In checking to see how kids could get in on these Manga classes, I see that the Nandi School decided last week to close their art school. www.nandiart.com . They hope to offer summer camp, though, next summer, they say.
Teresa DeFabrizio was the manga art teacher at Nandi. She continues to teach a manga class in Montclair on Mondays after school during the school year.
We are all going to miss Nandi! It was a wonderful place for artists of all ages, styles and aspirations. But this show is an example of the great talent that Nandi helped nurture and Teresa and Laura Gardner have made it possible for these kids to keep going. Thank you all!
Nandi closing? What a shame...Hope it's not another developer attack. Is Glenridge Av going to become another unattainable Church St?
I think Nandi's on Glenridge Ave. has been closed for nigh on a year.
Congratulations to Charlotte Cailliarec, Linna Griffin, Greta Gardner, Alison Dyer and Anna Sanchez for their wonderful work in the exhibit. The owner of Cafe Eclectic said this was the first time ever they featured young artists in an exhibit. Thank you Cafe Eclectic for supporting the young artists of Montclair!
