This cute black lab is safe at Bloomfield animal shelter, but would rather be home. Tipster Dave H., who found the pooch, writes:
My neighbor and I corralled a dog about 1 hr ago (10:30 am), near Essex Avenue and Benson street in Bloomfield/Glen Ridge.Black, Male, Lab mix, somewhat thin, and (was) very hungry. Modern day military camouflaged collar, no tags at all. He responded to verbal commands and was very friendly with us, so we suspect he is a well cared for pet that somehow got loose.
We called the Bloomfield Animal Shelter and they currently have custody of him. Please contact them if you know how belongs to this dog, or if he is yours!

Awwww.....I WISH he was mine. Poor Labby. :-( Hope he's reunited with his owner soon.
He doesn't have the shoulders but that snout makes me think he has a little bull terrier in him.
Dogs are the best! I hope this fella finds a nice home.
I'm thinking of adopting a dog. I have 4 cats now, but they are aging and probably wouldn't try to eat a newcomer of the canine persuasion. Cats are awesome but there is a kind of love that only a dog can give.
Good luck finding your previous or new owners little buddy!
Awwwww... the poor bunny! Glad these good Samaritans helped him get to the shelter, and I hope he'll find his family soon!
Did Oreo the cat ever turn up?
