Flour Power In Baristaville Today

IMG_3312%20bake%20sale.jpg
This weekend there are two MoveOn.org bake sales to raise money for Barack Obama. Mine is at noon, at 11 Godfrey Road in Upper Montclair (Godfrey road is just below the bottom of Anderson Park) The other one is at Orange Rd. and Washington St at 11:45, at the South End, across from the Hardware Store and next to the Bank. Both bake sales will feature succulent, delicious, savory and irresistible homebaked goods. If you love homemade gingerbread and lemon tea cake, but are not planning to vote for Barack Obama and therefore feel maddened by inner conflict, don't despair. I'm planning to have a jar for donations to PAWS, Montclair's animal shelter. So you can have your cake and pay for it too.

I can share a few more details, such as a.) I'll be playing some of my great mix tapes, featuring everyone from Franco Corelli singing Puccini to a pretty good Neil Diamond impersonator singing Red, Red Wine.
b.) I plan to hang party lights in the Linden trees and
c.) I'm going to invite children to fill little cups with potting soil and flower seeds in a gesture symbolic of planting the seeds of Democracy.

Nice job.

One wrong move here Fran, and the headline will read: "Obama steals money from Animal Shelter...."

Not to be snarky or anything....

But... will there be a large sheet cake with the Great Seal of OBAMALAND on it.

Or just cupcakes?

And I read online Obama's seriously considering changing the National Anthem to THIS.

The way he figures, folks'll be groovin' so hard, they won't have time to put their hands over their heart, or chest, or where ever it's supposed to go.

This is a chance.... A chance.....

The idea of MoveOn.org having a bake sale is simply shudder-inducing.

Knowing this group's "progressive" agenda, too, it's pretty hard to imagine that the disposition of proceeeds from this sale is simply meant to assist the Presidential aspirations of Obama. This is a poisonous, lying organization, after all. TastyKake rules!

the guy lives on tastycakes and sits at his computer 24/7, now thats progressive.

I now have a lawn sign that reads: "PAWS 2008"

Mmmm. Taskykakes. Partial to the Kandy Kakes and the Butterscotch Krimpets. And the orange flavored Junior every now and then. Yum.

Blocked arteries could explain cathar's foul moods and hard-headedness.

When your baked goods give everyone diabetes, Obama's communist healthcare program will be there for you! Next week I am organizing a Foie Gras for McCain sale. Bring the kiddies.
