How You're Getting To Work

7:44 am UPDATE: Allwood park and ride is empty - got right on a bus

Commuters are offering tips for getting to work sans Montclair/Boonton train service - on Clever Commute:

NJT bus lines 11, 28, or 29 to Newark Light Rail at Branch Brook Park. Go to Newark Penn Station and transfer to NEC line to New York Penn. It's all free to those with monthly passes!

Buses are working fine and cross honoring, but are crowded.

Clevercommute.com once again saves the day! BTW...I'm wondering how bad things have to get before I finally get one of those DeCamp alerts I signed up for when they redesigned their website?

Easy breezy...took the 29 bus down Bloomfield Ave to the light rail to Newark Penn. Caught the next train out of Newark into NY Penn Station. Seemed to have caught all my connections quickly and the bus and trains weren't too crowded. Thanks to fellow commuter Adrien for helping us get around this morning! :)

Hey complainerpuss...THANKS.
It was another great instance of people-helping-people.
S'funny...I remember when "CC" was just 5 guys who rode the train...

Thank YOU, Josh. BTW...just got my very first ever DeCamp sms alert at 9:51 am this morning:

"Many apologies to ALL for not Alerting you to the rail line problems; I too was affected, but no excuse. We do hope to improve!"

Wound up having to drive into the PA because by the time the busses got to my Oak View stops along West Passaic, they were all full (due to the increase in riders who normally take the train) and kept right on going.

Just heard from home that power is on. Hoping it is for good.

Had a frustrating night with the neighbor's generator blasting away none of us got much sleep. This might sound harsh but generator use should have to adhere to the noise ordinances. No reason they can't be turned off from 10pm until 7 am. If the refridgerators stay closed the food stays cold/frozen.

Hoping for a cool & quiet night tonight.

I agree unless it is being used for medical devices.
