Montclair Art Museum, feeling the financial pinch after a statewide 12% funding cut for the arts, is cutting back on days and hours that they are open to the public. Effective July 1, the Museum will now be closed two days a week: Tuesdays as well as Mondays.
New visiting hours are Wednesday through Sunday Noon–5 pm.
Admission will increase to $12 (nonmember adults), $10 (senior citizens and students). Free admission continues for members and under 12, and is free for everyone on the first Friday of every month.
Yard School of Art Students and school tours will still have access to the Museum during morning hours by appointment. The museum will still be accessible on Tuesdays by appointment to school and adult groups, and Yard School of Art students.
