After a week of horrid temperatures, blackouts and fallen trees, don't you think it's time to indulge in something silly?. And when I say silly, I mean really silly. That would be 4th Wall Theatre Company's Das Barbecu, the faux-Wagnerian ring cycle musical playing weekends at Westminster Art Center through June 21. Besides, who could resist seeing Bloomfield's arts maven, Greg Allen, in drag? In a cowgirl costume with a pink wig no less?
I saw it last weekend and was mightily amused. Warning: lots of sexual innuendo, so don't take the li'l ones if you care about stuff like that.
I saw it last saturday night with my sweetie, who lived in texas for 16 years. It is hilarious! i highly recommend it. it was one of those occasions when you see something so utterly silly and utterly (should i say udderly, given the cow garb above?) brilliant at the same time. it was also really easy to park for free right on the street around 20 steps from the entrance.
