Big bargains abound tomorrow around Montclair center - so get outside and shop at The 6th Annual Montclair Center Sidewalk Sale - where the get is, 10am - 6pm. We've received an underwear alert from Intimate Engagements, chocolate advisories from Chocolate Path, and the Barista helped christen the opening of Prima's new location on Bloomfield Ave at a fashionista party (looking alot like a Soho trunk sale) last night, where lots of people were buying clothes (who appeared to weigh 100 lbs or less) selling at 30% off.
Tomorrow's bargain shopping spree is on Bloomfield Ave between South Mountain and Pine, and surrounding streets, with live music and family fun at Church Street's Center Stage and Crane Park. Live performances by Parents Who Rock and the Passing Notes, Montclair High School’s own ultra-talented acappella group, and Maya Workman's drum ensemble. Church street will be turned into a pedestrian mall all day long, so don't even think about parking there.
Shop 'til ya drop, and take a break with the kids at Crane Park...
where you'll find food, family-friendly crafts and activities and see performances by Edgemont School's Orff Ensemble and demonstrations by Talium / Master Cho’sTae KwonDo and Capoeira from The Afro-Brazilian Cultural Center. Check out the petting zoo, face painting by the YMCA, carnival games and strolling costume characters. Break your diet with popcorn, cotton candy, cookies, ice cream and The Wood Pit's BBQ. Crane Park is located at the corner of Glenridge Avenue and Lackawanna Plaza. Rain date, June 21. For more information, contact The Montclair Center Business Improvement District at (973) 509-3820.
