DH and I did a race on July 4th in Cranford and some guy won a $25 gift card from Hess. Everyone agreed he had the best prize of all.
I guess since it was over priced, nothing special and poorly serviced it meet it's end.
I just noticed today that it is no longer in business. It was a bit pricey, but I thought the hot dogs were good. Weren't they trying to franchise the business? Maybe they were sucessful and no longer needed to run the store front.
Amazing Hot Dog were certainly the best dogs and fries in the state, hands down. Matty still has his store in Bound Brook, and they are doing the franchise as S2007 mentioned. They were cool guys there as well..great store.
The only thing amazing about that place is the raves. Mediocre at best.
Actually, Hiram's in Fort Lee has Amazing's beat hands down, for deep fried dogs and fries, but Verona was sooo convenient.
What happened to Bobbi Brown's Studio Loft Store? Went by twice and the windows were blackened. Had to buy Maybelline Mascara at CVS---savings?= 3 gallons of gas! Hmmm...

Amazing Hot Dog was "best?" No, not in a state which boasts Rutt's Hut and even many lesser hot dog temples. Not remotely. Amazing was, however, much ans relentlessly overhyped in this space, back in the days when it was an advertiser.
