Feel like you need to get out of town? You may want to head south to Exit 109 and catch this free show in Redbank, featuring Glen Ridge singer/songwriter Guy Gsell.
Gsell will be appearing at the Two River Theater, Sunday July 13, at 8:30pm as part of the Theater’s “12 Nights of Chicago” celebration.
Included in the evening’s free concert will be the world premiere of selections from A Hymnal for Mayor Daley: Songs about and inspired by the 1968 Democratic Convention and the Trial of the Chicago 7.
Gsell's set will be peppered with Glen Ridge-centric songs: Gsell sees Glen Ridge as a microcosm of middleclass America...
If you go, I can recommend pre-concert dinner at The Bistro - a world cuising sushi bar whose chef hails from Manhattan's China Grill. Worth the trip just for the exotic rolls and this beautiful lobster dish...

Sounds like a fun act. But Hoffman, Rubin, Dellinger (I think) and Kunstler are all dead, and Bobby Seale has been safely relegated to the history bin marked "irrelevance and failure." Right alongside Tom Hayden.
12 nights of this stuff? Who really wants to sit through even just one?
So pkease do tell me that either the guy is a satirist or the item is just kidding.
