Realtor extraordinaire Adriana O'Toole doesn't want you to miss the lush, magnificent, multi-colored explosion of hydrangeas, blooming on Erwin Park Road, between Central and Midland Aves in Montclair. My photo doesn't do the amazing display justice, get over there and take a gander yourself. Meanwhile, here's a bit more on the whole color changing thing.
While over in the Erwin Park 'hood, I turned a corner and found this very patriotic/political display for Roland Straten.

Someday then, walleroo, we should watch "Major Dundee" and "The Wild Bunch" together. Since "the Americans" win handily in both.
I'd watch out for the bunting, however, should you wish to drape some over your own balcony. (Deck, more likely.) It's how Wilkes Booth caught his spur as he leapt from the balcony at Ford's Theater, breaking his leg. We wouldn't want you to similarly stumble so, how would we?

Does anyone know of a local store where I can buy aluminum sulfate? I'm trying to get my hydrangeas to a uniform shade of blue.
I don't think one should equate a genuine display of "patriotism," Liz, to a red pickup and a painted trailer which looks like the sort bands rent for instrument and amp transport.
Nor do a few pieces of bunting (available last week greatly marked down at Kohl's") equate to, say, Mount Vernon or Monticello.
