Outpost in the 'Burbs begins their Fall '08 season with a performance on Friday, Sept 5 by singer/songwriter Steve Earle, who is touring to promote his Grammy-winning "Washington Square Serenade." He'll share the stage that night with his wife, singer Allison Moorer.
Earle has long been celebrated (and occasionally vilified) for his edgy blend of country and folk music. He's done enough personal struggling (jail time included) to sing the blues with unmistakable authenticity, and his stuff is never dull -- odds are this show won't be either. Tix went on sale last week (grab some while you can at Keil's, Ticketweb or by snail mail -- details here) and the Outpost crew is gearing up for Earle's visit: "We are delighted to kick off Outpost's upcoming season here in Montclair with Grammy-winning alt-country artist Steve Earle, who will be supported by his wife, Allison Moorer," Outpost producer Rob Rinderman tells us. Additional Outpost shows for the '08-'09 season will be announced soon.
