Up, Up and Away

$195 to go up in one of these babies(for how long?), and $25 just to go watch?

How much (less?) would it be if Quickchek and PNC weren't "sponsoring"??

we went yesterday and had a great time. lots of freebies, fun rides and bounce house type things for the little ones and some interesting entertainment. and that was all before the 125 hot air balloons floated right over our heads.

My wife and I were there this morning at 6am (yawn). I've posted some shots on the Baristanet Flickr group, plus here's the direct link to more of the photos:

The highlight was the Darth Vader balloon, with its ascent marked with the Darth Vader March played over the sound system. Great!

Just what NJ needs, more hot air.

My husband and I and my parents went up in one of the balloons a few years ago. To answer the question above, you're up there somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half. It's a blast to go up at sunset with dozens of other balloons all around you. And you're flying over a residential area, so it's cute to wave at the little kids in their footsie PJs running down the street waving at you. We crashed a little upon landing in a little grassy area on a street corner, but that just added to the excitement. is it worth the money? Hell yes.
