If you're walking around Glen Ridge and stumble upon some I.D. cards, don't toss them. A reader writes...
I wanted to see if you'd help out with a petty theft incident that took place in my driveway on the evening of August 20th/morning of the 21st.My wife, juggling the three kids after a day of back to school shopping while I was out of town for work, inadvertently left her purse in the back seat of our car. The doors were unlocked, and while loading up the kids the following morning discovered her purse and $8 was stolen from the car. Remarkably the morons didn't take the neatly folded $20 bill or GPS. Worst. Thieves. Ever.
The purse only contained her driver's license, insurance cards and some diapers, as her debit and credit cards were in her pocket from her shopping trip. The purse was from a Banana Republic outlet store, so it's not a huge financial loss but we'd still like to recover the contents and were hoping you'd put a notice on Baristanet in case anyone has the contents thrown onto their lawn or in their trash. It has been reported to the Glen Ridge Police as well.
Send us an email if you find anything; we'll put the purse owner in touch with you. Oh, and lock those car doors.

Wait, I don't get it.
If you live in Glen Ridge, why would you shop at the Banana Republic Outlet store?
