Dow dipped down briefly 800 points, setting a new record for a one-day point drop.
Not sure which is falling faster: the sky, or the value of my 401(k).
Good think I'm not retiring in the next decade or two, even if I wanted to!

Shows how naive I am. I thought the government wanted us to have hefty 401 K and IRA balances so they could tax us to death later on. I counted on that. Little did I know that George Bush and friends would help themselves to it on the way out, and refer to it as a "bailout." It was a bailout alright.
Good to see the bailout has quieted the markets.
