I’m sorry, but there’s just something inherently wrong about the phrase “blogging his prostate cancer”.
The sentence is missing key words like fight or battle against. Haste makes waste.
You’re expecting grammatically sensical stories from Debbie Gallant? You clearly haven’t been reading Baristanet for very long, have you?
