Fern Bass and Fabiola Arias turned the attentions of their fashion design class to the irises this past May. The result is delightful--as evidenced by the twirling young designers at Walther House last night. These talented young ladies took as their inspirations the many aspects of an iris--from roots and rhizomes to standards (the upright petals) to falls (the three that drape downward) and the rainbow colors of purples, apricot, green, tan, yellow and more. Here is a small sampling of the pretty and inspired dresses they created. Great job!
