Are there no restaurants near Franklin Lakes, or for that matter, in Bergen County? Last night, when Teresa has her housewarming party at a restaurant (let's not even try to figure that out...) and the food and utensils starts flying, the event takes place at Lu Nello in Cedar Grove.

Great TV it was!!!
When Danielle slapped that book down and demanded they discuss it??
That. Was. Drama.
And Jacqueline caught between her "family" and a friend?
The two offers of "color commentary" are typical, elitist (and insensitive to Italian-American, which I guess, is allowed...).
But really, anyone tuning in expecting Masterpiece Theater and being mad is DUMB!!!
You watch the show for what it is-- A reality show.
Why so shocked when folks act ugly?
That's the point.
And I loved every second of it!
My favorite part prof -- when Caroline says look at me, because I'm the one who did it.
That's the first hour (in a long time!) that I truly was pasted to my couch. Not even sure if I blinked.
"Let me tell you something about my family...."
I haven't seen such good tv since Al Roeker laid the smackdown on Speidi!
RIGHT!!!
I forgot that one.
THAT was extraordinary!!!
It was, NJ!!!! Unapologetic and in your face.
Damn, she's one of the GREAT TV characters:
"My family is thick as thieves!"
Prof, the Yoda of TV critics you clearly aspire to be.
Even so, I doubt this show can ever even partially be viewed as "reality." How do the producers even find such people? How do they get invited into their homes? And afterwards into respectable restaurants like Lu Nello, which I believe used to be Il Tulipano (in the manner of places once described by Rodney Dangerfield as "Ciro's, formerly Nando's, soon to be Dante's"). A puzzlement it is.
(I do, however, as it turns out, slightly know from long ago the proprietors of Shaker's, the Carlstadt go-go bar where Danielle set out long ago on her personal road to ruin and ignominy. And as much today as 24 years ago, the place is fit only for sleazeballs and folks whose tetanus shots are current.)
"Reality TV" is a genre, not unlike say, a "Western."
But Bravo's shows are great because they employ great story editors who shape the footage into compelling drama.
So while some get caught by "it's not really real" that misses the point.
In the same way Marion Morrison was not a real cowboy.
Drama is drama, regardless of whether it's written and performed or manufactured with non-actors.
It was Villa D'Este before it was Lu Nello, and it was usually somewhat ... inhospitable ... to "civilians." Il Tulipano is another place in Cedar Grove -- on Route 23.
great type casting ... i guess the concept is to feature as much northern nj italian as possible ... as though there were no other types of food or people available around here ...
I liked the part where Teresa's husband asked Caroline's eldest son if his mom's breasts were real. His response, "Really, are we talking about this?" He's the only one in the whole show who has his act together.
How about Caroline's good friends are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kerik??
And Dina and Teresa having wine at that stone table that looked like it was a quarter mile from her front door?
And Danielle showing her children naked 'modeling' photos of herself? Her kids are plotting their escape as we speak. Oh, and her ex-'boytoy' is shopping a sex tape. Shocker!
Did I read somewhere that you are GUCCIMODEL ?
I must say that you are most likely one of the few males in the world who watches this show..or at the very least, admits to watching it.
I loved every moment of this show! Can't wait for the reunion!
