    Holy crap.
Wish I had something more articulate to say, but that’s the best I can come up with at the moment.

Nature is angry. Does not anyone else take this message from yesterday’s storm? The climate is out of control, the planet is dying, and you people wonder why nature unleashes all these storms on us? It is only the beginning. Take the appropriate action: Junk your cars and take mass transit; turn off the lights; turn off the televisions; stop consuming like the earth is limitless. Do it now, and perhaps you’ll be spared.

…..And thats why old weakening street trees need to come down. Sure they look nice but i sure wouldn’t wanna be under that or my home.

bye, bye Mr Tree. I know you had a lovely life on GR PKWY. It’s one of the nicer avenues in GR. You once were a little sapling full of pep and promise and now at the end of your life you will warm peoples homes this winter.
Go in peace Mr. Tree.. :(

    Mathilda, you screwed up.
There was nothing outlandishly silly about that post. Just true.

the tree was already removed as of 10 pm

Mathilda, it was a large old tree probably weakened over the years by other storms and now I have to take the bus to go get some milk? Oh wait, I think you were the loon who wanted to eliminate automobiles in Montclair altogether in 2 years…you should have been Bike Boys running mate. Not giving up my car or my TV…and anyone on here that is honest with themselves is doing the same thing….except Asst Mayor Mathilda.

its perfectly legit to take the bus to go buy a carton of milk. it doesn’t make sense to lug your 2-4 ton car with you to get just 1 gallon of milk. if you’re going to get 100 pounds of compost, that makes sense to drive. there are many people who run errands on buses and their lifestyles aren’t as rediculous as you make it seem.

Maybe you could ride a BICYCLE to get a carton of milk. Heck, if you have a decent basket you could get a few extra things! People in Montclair could probably do 75% of their local commuting by bicycle, and so can their kids. Teach those kids how to get around on 2 wheels NOW and they won’t be bugging you to drive them 10 blocks in a few years.

Its great to see that everybody is riding their bikes and taking the bus to go on their errands. I always wondered why there were so many bikes parked outside the A&P and tons of people waiting for the bus out on Valley Road….you are all a bunch of frauds.

NoCorzine, your love of humanity on display here on Baristanet is truly moving.
Make sure to book ahead for a really tiny chapel before your funeral- you wouldn’t want too many empty seats.

Spiro, if you don’t have a car, ride your bike or the bus to go on all of your errands, and don’t own a TV, then I commend you for your environmental awareness. The only one that I know of that can speak of this without being a hypocrite is that guy who thinks he is living back in the 1800′s with the revolutionary war gear and the feather in his cap. Walks to the Willowbrook Mall to work everyday by the way, if you were wondering where he is going.

NoCorzine, I don’t know when you drive by the A&P but you will regularly see my bike parked outside so I take offense to your calling me a fraud. I also take it to Bloomfield Ave so check for it there as well. Oh yeah, and the Post Office. Even the dry cleaners sometimes!

  17. POSTED BY spork  |  July 01, 2009 @ 12:24 pm

there seems to always be at least 1 person waiting in from of the A&P for the bus.

  18. POSTED BY NoCorzine  |  July 01, 2009 @ 12:29 pm

You’re right Spork…as well as 50 cars parked in the lot. 99% of people drive to their errands, I guess the 1% is everyone grandstanding on this website. Do you people ride your soapboxes to the super market?

I’m kinda wishing this tree had fallen in a forest.

“Maybe you could ride a BICYCLE to get a carton of milk.”
Yes, you could: but Mathilde will be all over you if you so much as breathe, releasing all that carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. And, God forbid, you are a little gassy and the bicycle seat causes you to pass wind; oh, the inhumanity! And I think Mathilde is much too knowledgable to have settled for being Bike Boy’s running mate: more likely, she should be the lead candidate for the Gang of Four.

OMG! Get OVER yourselves! Do you people REALLY have THIS MUCH free time? If so, please contact me and I can set you up with some stuff to keep you busy. Ridiculous!
